We've been sold on a version of love that involves fantasy and fairy tale. This will only lead to resentment and disappointment.
Mature love won't make it into the movies, but it is the path to fulfillment.
THE 9 TENANTS OF MATURE LOVE:
One of the many reasons why I refuse to be the only Black family in the culdesac….or only Black anything for that matter. There is a certain amount of learning/unlearning that has to happen in predominantly white spaces and I refuse to let my child be the source of that growth.
I’m fighting to pass legislation that would lower health care premiums, prescription drug costs, and child care costs — three of the biggest cost drivers for American families. Let’s get it done.

Fire Chief Tina Watkins informed the audience of her expertise to lead the Fire Department. She also informed the audience as to her vision to acquire and train the youth residents of the city to aspire to be the future firefighters of the city.
The first speaker from for the evening was the Interim City Manager Kenneth Miller. Mr. Miller addressed the overall state of the city and the efforts he and Mrs. Innis (Deputy City Manager) are undertaking to keep the city moving forward
On April 28, City council member Arnold Westbrook hosted a Ward 7 Town Hall. Held at Pleasants Lane Elementary, citizens, concerned individuals and city officials were welcomed into a discussion on the current state of affairs and the “Forward Focus” of Petersburg.
This Wed, April 27th, 2022 I will hosting a community town hall to allow the public opportunity to interact with city officials. If you have interest in the prosperity of Petersburg, please spread the word.
