@korenchkin I could only see this happening with a PhD student. When I was undergrad it was a honor if a prof even remembered your name. classes had 100-200 students. Going for coffee was unthinkable.Profs even rejected small gifts and cards from students at Christmas over professionalism.

@mcgonagle88 I know an orthodontist who lives like this. He works like 2days a week & makes 200k. He does whatever wants the other 5 days a week. Lives in a LCOL area & has a very comfy life. He’s a partner in a practice so he can work as much or little as he wants and earns accordingly.

@JJ_McCullough I was job searching and found posting for an Alzheimer’s medical researcher in Vancouver. The job posting had a long winded land acknowledgment. I hit control-F and saw the post said indigenous 22 times. It said Alzheimer’s like twice. The research was about all groups of people.

There are small Christian minorities in Syria and Egypt. Lebanon is a bit bigger around 30%.
