October 29th, 2012. This photo was taken shortly after Hurricane Sandy had come through Union Beach, NJ. Westmont Fire Company and Bellmawr Fire Department ambulances(part of a Camden County EMS Task Force) provided EMS to that area for a 24 hour deployment.
On this date, September 18, in 1970, Firefighter Elmer Hoss passed away while in the performance of his duty after transporting a sick resident to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Firefighter Hoss suffered a heart attack while returning to Westmont in the ambulance.

Haddon Avenue will be CLOSED in Haddon Township THIS SATURDAY, 8/26, between Cuthbert Road to Cooper Street, from 9AM until MIDNIGHT. This is so the stage & attractions can be set up for Haddon Township’s “Summer Of Love ‘60’s Music Fest”.

Haddon Avenue in Collingswood will be closed from 6:00AM Saturday morning through 7:00PM Sunday evening for their Annual Craft Fair. It will be closed beginning at Fern Avenue down to East Knight Avenue. Plan accordingly if traveling in that area and observe posted detours.
