Been picking up litter in Weston since 2010. We meet at 9.30am, first Saturday of the month, Moravian Church car park (off the roundabout)

@RUHBath Hi, we did a litter pick around the hospital car parks at the weekend. There was a very overfilled wheelie bin between the Main Entrance Car Park and the Accommodation Block. We've tidied it up, but the bin needs urgently emptying. We collected 6 bags of rubbish 🙂

Has the #BristolBalloon Fiesta always been in August? I have memories of going to school in Bristol and seeing lots of balloons over Ashton Court in the 80's, but my wife keeps reminding me it would have been the school holidays.

This week BANES are sending a Clean & Green Team to Weston and Newbridge to do some tidying up. Our Councillors are organising an extra community litter pick on Thursday (14th July). It will be from the Moravian Church car park between 3.30pm and 5.00pm. Families welcome 🙂

Has 2021 been a bad year for apples? My Bramley Apple tree is normally loaded with hundreds of apples at this time of year. There's almost none. Pruned it in the normal way over the Winter. I wondered whether the hot Spring weather has damaged the buds?

Picked up a load of these tree protectors this morning on my dog walk. There must be thousands of them below Bath Racecourse. A bit ironic to plant two new woods and then leave all the plastic behind 😪
