Common Scents — Mahogany Teakwood
Grabbed this in Okinawa and it beats the usual Yankee Candle for me. Same kind of warm mahogany-teakwood vibe, but it doesn’t smell like it came off a mall shelf. Clean black jar, wood lid, simple label — actually looks good sitting out.
The scent is rich and woody without that heavy, fake punch Yankee sometimes throws. Fills the room, then settles into something you can live with. Local small-batch over the big-box candle. I’ll be buying 10 more!

Just finished reading Circle of Treason by Sandra Grimes and Jeanne Vertefeuille. This book is sharp guys! Great insider account of the CIA’s hunt for Aldrich Ames. The book reads clear, it’s compelling, and quietly powerful—highly recommended. Stunning firsthand perspective makes every page feel authentic and urgent.
