In June 2023, a video surfaced online showing a pair of hands trembling while holding a single playing card. The person behind the camera was Brook Trafton, a retail worker from Toronto who had just opened a pack of Magic: The Gathering cards.

He had found the 1-of-1 serialized "The One Ring", a unique card from the Lord of the Rings set printed in the Black Speech of Sauron. It was the only copy in existence. Two months later, Trafton met rapper Post Malone backstage at a concert and sold him the card for $2 million
