⟡ BTS recently pulled its newest album from award considerations after the Grammys announced a new music category. It’s an important lesson for entrepreneurs about diluting your brand.

⟡ You can decide what real value or meaning any of the “minor” awards actually has, even assuming that the typical consumer actually understood what criteria went into each award and what behavior, achievements or results it recognized and acknowledged. The more tangential awards, of course, the less meaningful each becomes. Spread a mile wide and an inch deep, even the performers can barely bring themselves to sincerely express their gratitude for the Potemkin efforts. The brand and the bragging rights diminish in direct proportion to the number of categories and trophies much like childhood sporting events where virtually everyone’s a winner just for showing up.

The submissions for the 2027 Grammys have now closed, and the @RecordingAcad has still taken no meaningful action against its segregated and nonsensical “Asian Pop” category. After all the backlash, all the blunders, and a vague statement to “revamp,” they simply carried on with the same flawed category and the same useless spectacle and gave no answers.

She met and smiled with Perez Hilton, most famous for being a notorious harasser.

She follows and platform even more people who shared Chris Brown music on their social media, including the instagram accounts she follows.

Army women who decide how they feel about this are "protecting impunity", she doing the same thing is innocent.

The double standard here is glaring and hard to defend. You’re publicly demanding “accountability” from BTS because RM and j-hope attended a Chris Brown concert—posting “Disappointed. So disappointed” and unfollowing them yet the Recording Academy circles you’re connected to continue nominating Chris Brown year after year, despite his well-documented history that everyone already knows. Those shows were selling out long before any BTS member set foot there.

If this were truly about consistent principles rather than selective optics, the sudden outrage and unfollows wouldn’t have aligned so perfectly with ARMY calling it out first. Consistency and integrity matter far more than performative Instagram stories.

This is actually sick. These accounts (especially HateCrave/RottenPopUpdt and the Blinks involved) planned a whole hate train by making fake ARMY accounts just so they could post that disgusting “I wouldn’t care if BTS 🍇’d someone” garbage and then act shocked when it spreads.

They sit there romanticizing rape and making deepfakes of the members, then turn around and lecture people about feminism while using something as serious as SA in fanwars. The hypocrisy is wild.
ARMY gets blamed for everything while these people are the ones actively wishing harm and fabricating lies. Leave BTS alone. This kind of behavior is exactly why people can’t take their “concerns” seriously.
