In Japanese schools, the students don't take any exams until 4th grade. WHY? The goal for the first few years of school is not to judge the child’s knowledge or learning, but to establish good manners & to develop their character.
Should this philosophy be implemented in the US?

This man was so wise—a calm place for me when I was a little girl. One of the most important lessons he taught was to avoid judging and making assumptions about people. I wonder what Mister Rogers would have to say about the divisive status of America. He’d have wisdom for sure.
