@Apelino_ @TonyLip13 @kinsellawarren Like we will probably hit 200K per day TODAY. Last day of Feb was less than 50K. That feels like a lot more to me. Dramatic even. Gov botched the start of this rollout no doubt. But my opinion is that’s done and I think data supports it.
@Apelino_ @HkyguyN @kinsellawarren There are more than a million doses in inventory. And second doses are allowed to be spaced out doesn’t mean they will be.
@paulschratz@mattgurney Probably abortions would go down if we just randomly castrated a bunch of men. You cool if the government starts with your family? This is the abortion debate. It’s about forced control not unborn children or saving lives. It is about live and let live.
@emilydawnlove I don’t like this gov either but good data that says you have increased resistance after your first dose so given we’re waiting for supply this seems like a way to bring down risk of sever cases in more people sooner.
@bruce_arthur You think the police should be able to levy fines to people on enforcement costs? Imagine they did this to #BLM? Or a pro-choice rally? The Adamson’s BBQ guy is a jerk. But the CCLA is right (and hardly a libertarian organization).
@kinsellawarren I’m no Trudeau fan and they botched the rollout but this is clearly getting better. From here on in this is all about whether the provinces can execute.
@moebius_strip 1/2. Here would be my two (layperson) questions: If the virus is 50% more efficient at transmission that doesn’t mean 50% higher Rt right? Eg if four people are in a closed room together for 2 hours with one Covid case the Rt for that room is probably 3 in either case.
@imgrund@CoachWooly@tarard Isn’t it that over holidays people are more likely to travel and visit family and friends so if we delay March break by a month, cases should decline and vaccines should increase? I get that there are different views but isn’t that the explanation?
