Crazy how life changes.
For years I complained about projects funneling people off X into Discord. I thought it killed the public square. Thought it isolated communities.
I've completely changed my tune.
The algo changes have killed most of what made X fun. I used to spend 8 hours a day here. Now I log in once a day, post a couple times a week, and I'm not chasing engagement or metrics anymore.
The moment I stepped back and focused on actually building community is when I realized how much of X had become noise.
We have some real things cooking. Never been more excited about the future.
Happy 6/7! Grind is the number 1 trending GIF in the World this morning! And cheers to all @pudgypenguins for yet another stunning tribute to my work! 🐹💚🐧
I will be hosting an AMA tomorrow with all @ThePlagueNFT holders
It will be in the original Discord server tomorrow morning at 11am EST
The link to that server is in my profile.
It will be recorded.

See you then
I agree with this 100%.
For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction….
In fact, part of the exodus for the frogs is to figure out ways for our NFT community to connect in a more real way.
I also have an idea I will implement locally…. If it works, I work with the frogs to implement locally for themselves
The timing on this announcement is not great.
Over the last few weeks I have seen plenty of posts from the armchair CEO's on how they believe Abstract should be run.
As usual, most of the complaining I have seen is unfounded and primarily driven by those who just want their airdrop to come faster.
I regret that Xeet moving will add fuel to the flames of this group.
The obvious question is... why is Xeet moving?
The short answer is that our move is more about our product's vision, and less about the chain(s) involved.
I will just leave it at that.
I would like to personally thank the Abstract team for their support.
They were the first team we pitched the concept of @xeetdotai to, and they have supported us from the beginning.
I see the conversations happening and I want to be straight about something.
The vouch system is not perfect. There are good people who haven't gotten in yet. People who have held for years, never complained, never caused problems. I know they exist and I know it's frustrating.
But then I read the same chat and I see people demanding royalties for holding a JPEG. People who haven't opened Discord in months suddenly upset about access. People who don't follow anyone involved in what we're building but feel entitled to a seat.
That contrast is exactly why the system exists.
If you're a holder who has been patient and supportive and you're still waiting, your time is coming. The community is growing and more vouches are happening every week. People inside the server are actively looking for good holders to bring in.
If you're a holder who showed up for the first time in six months to complain about not being included, maybe ask yourself what you were doing for the last six months.
Quick update for the Frogs of @ThePlagueNFT
1⃣New Discord is live. I will start accelerating the vouches soon. Working through some of the bugs and the process.
I have never seen so many people want to get into Discord :)
Our goal is to create "clean" channel where our community can gather and not have to deal with the transients or daily shills we all get in this space.
2⃣ Exodus is moving along nicely. Over 4,000 Genesis Frogs burned so far, with a little over 1,100 new Exodus Frogs created.
Elder selection process will start to be communicated next wee.
3⃣ The animation process is moving slower than I would like. I will have a more solid update on this by next week.

I believe this bear market will kill the majority of the remaining NFT brands. I do not believe that NFTs are dead. But certainly the NFT market as we knew it has been dead for a while.
What we have left are some zombie brands, propped up by a few people hoping their bags will pump on more time.
That being said, I do believe there are a good number of NFT communities (including the Frogs) that have a real opportunity to mold the industry into something meaningful.
But I am sure half the comments will tell me dumb and "washed" I am.
The hardest thing to find on this app is a real human.
I've been on calls all week with people I met through the @ThePlagueNFT years ago.
People who actually give a sh*t.
That doesn't happen by accident.
Pick up a frog.
Most of what I built over the last few weeks doesn't matter.
I built a full AI agent system. Dashboard, trend detection, narrative tracking, coordination flagging, SQLite database. It works. It does exactly what I designed it to do.
But when I sat with it over the weekend and asked myself what part of this would anyone else actually want, the answer was uncomfortable. Most of it is just my personal workflow dressed up as a product.
One piece survived that filter.
The narrative intelligence engine. The part that watches CT conversations and tells you whether what you're seeing is organic or coordinated. Whether people are genuinely reacting to something or whether a handful of accounts are manufacturing a narrative.
That's what I'm building next. Stripping it out, cleaning it up, and packaging it as a standalone open source tool anyone can install and run.
Your accounts. Your data. Your machine. Free.
More soon.
every community says they're exclusive
then they let anyone with a wallet walk in
we're building a room where every person was vouched for by someone already inside
no open lobby full of strangers
no names nobody recognizes
new infrastructure is coming soon
and the bar to get in is a name someone trusted enough to put next to yours
the plague is spreading
make sure you're connected to someone carrying it

I was reflecting on what being a founder in the crypto space has done for me personally.
It certainly has not been enriching. I would define it as a net loss if you include opportunity cost.
I concluded that it has done two things for me.
1.) Opened my eyes to human nature. I have studied human nature for a long time. But I was never on social media, and I have always been good about avoiding people that cause issues. In short, I have been in a bubble. Being on X has broken me out of that bubble.
2.) Humbled me professionally. If you have followed me any amount of time, or if you hold one of my NFTs then you know why.
