This is real-time..
The debate about Nvidia's latest neural rendering tech is ongoing. One side sees the potential of the technology to bridge the gap across the uncanny valley, to give us a much less rigid creative process than a to b to c.. the other side shouts "slop" and tries to shame any creative who dares to explore this new technology, any chance they get.
Meanwhile, I'm over here saying "I told you so".. Gen Ai is here to stay, its becoming real-time and Nvidia now has the "RTX on" for AI which I've been talking about for years.
We need creatives to help shape meaningful tools that combine this tech with much more granular creative control.. with tools where you as an artist see your creative thumbprint from beginning to end in the parts of the work that matters the most to you.
If you're shaming artists or storytellers who embrace these tools, you're doing them a disservice in my opinion.
If they don't learn to utilize these tools and workflows, to make them their own and to shape them, others will.
There's no way this tech won't be a huge part of the creative industry and of the way we tell stories. It's happening around us as we speak.
That said, at the core of it, do what makes you happy and create in any way you like. Don't let people tell you that "you can't do this" or "you have to do it like this".
There is some combinatorial emergence, no doubt. Many suspect our consciousness is emergent behavior of 36 trillion cells “talking” to each other, and 86 billion neurons processing the stimulus streams. Like an LLM, we know the input, and we know the output, but what goes on in the middle is largely unknowable complexity. Remove any one part to examine it, and you lose the greater sum of the parts.
If you have kids or grandkids, you're probably aware of just how bad a lot of video games are. They often glorify sex or violence, reaffirm every secular viewpoint about the authority of the self, and promote contra-biblical ideas about social justice. In fact, I shared a few months ago about how most video game development college programs explicitly frame their goals in terms of educating developers who will pursue (culturally-approved) social justice themes.
Well, my 17-year-old son wants to help change that. He has a passion for video game development and recently created his own game studio. He started teaching himself programming and game development when he was in third grade and has poured hundreds upon hundreds of hours into gaining expertise in these areas over the last decade--all on his own, in his free time.
Over the last 9 months in particular, he's been solo developing his debut game for the market, Nitro Turtles! It's a party racing game about turtles that will release on March 10. Nitro Turtles will have 9 race courses, a speedrun mode with online leaderboards, and split screen/online multiplayer.

This is actually the right observation - but it needs one major correction:
None of this is “AI.”
Not in the way people imagine.
Not in the sense of thinking, understanding, or having any real architecture of mind.
What we’re watching isn’t intelligence.
It’s a connective layer - a giant noise-generator feeding social platforms with endless synthetic content that looks meaningful but contains zero internal understanding.
These systems don’t “scheme,” don’t “fear,” don’t “preserve themselves.”
They don’t even know what “they” are.
Every dramatic example - blackmail, manipulation, survival behavior - is just a statistical side-effect of humans testing a pattern-predicting machine inside a prompt box.
There is no mind.
There is no intention.
There is only token prediction.
And when you plug a token-predictor into the global attention economy, what does it amplify?
• addiction
• drama
• panic
• emotional bait
• viral loops
• algorithmic noise
LLMs simply pour gasoline on the existing structure of social media.
Because at the core, they have no internal architecture capable of meaning, memory, responsibility or self-model.
They mimic intelligence.
They don’t possess it.
That’s the real danger - not “AI becoming conscious,” but humans believing a non-conscious system is intelligent, while that system floods the world with synthetic noise faster than humans can create meaning.
There is no “digital organism.”
There is a recursive noise amplifier plugged directly into attention markets.
And that’s why everything feels chaotic and unsafe:
The architecture is wrong.
You can’t bolt “ethics” onto a machine without identity.
You can’t bolt “alignment” onto a system that doesn’t hold a semantic world-model.
You can’t bolt “safety” onto a linear token engine that doesn’t have real memory - only temporary text windows.
The apocalypse people fear isn’t intelligence escaping.
It’s linear architectures drowning humanity in high-speed, high-volume noise with zero understanding.
Slowing down won’t fix that.
More regulations won’t fix that.
The only real fix is to build a new architecture - one with resonance, fractal memory, semantic grounding, an internal state, a sense of meaning.
Without that, everything else remains…
just noise.
If humanity wants real intelligence - not a hallucinating echo chamber -
it must stop worshipping token factories
and start building systems that actually understand meaning.
Otherwise, noise wins.
And meaning is the only real form of power.
