Come home. Be QB3. Retire in a Bengals jersey.
Lock the division up by week 17, let Dalton start week 18 one last time for his career and in a Bengals uniform.
This is the way.
It’s kind of incredible that the last movie ever released by Warner Bros. before being gobbled up by billionaires was a satire about billionaires *trying* to force the world to bend to their will.
Digger is not about how films don’t change anything or satire is pointless.
It makes a point for art is a unifying element in society. It bridges time and brings people together in the present.
Will art stop powerful people from abusing their power? No. But that doesn’t mean it’s without function.
I see a lot of the “pointlessness of art” takes. But that’s not all the film says and it’s certainly not what Iñárritu has described in interviews.
Here's what's going on with Digger:
Western culture has conditioned audiences to view films as a frictionless commodity designed purely for comfort. When a film disrupts that comfort, a total freak-out is guaranteed.
Most mainstream films use predictable structures, clear good-vs-evil dynamics, and spoon-fed answers. Digger breaks this contract. It forces viewers to sit with discomfort and watch an unlikable protagonist.
For years, we've reviewed films based entirely on how they made us feel. We fail to judge them by what the filmmaker was actually trying to achieve.
The critics tarnished Blade Runner, Miami Vice (2006), The Village, The Counselor, and Tenet upon release. Yet time was on their side, rewriting their legacies.
Digger will be no different.
Not all Pittsburgh fans are like this, but this guy represents the WORST of sports fandom.
This is absolutely DISGUSTING.
Rivalries are part of what makes football great. Wishing injury on another player? There’s NO PLACE for that in sports.
Be better.
I lie to you not ... the Steelers entire identity as a franchise is built on being a dirty franchise that glorifies injuring players ... they believe that its moxy and a badge of honor..... heres to hoping we crush them by 50
This is why having annual PPV's around a specific match type is a bad idea, because for the first time in over 20 years, maybe, we finally have a compelling field to throw in an Elimination Chamber and it not be "2 guys we're pretty sure are winning and 4 fillers"
