Instead you can get into the politics of your neighbors and the weather hating you and your livestock. You can watch as coyotes eat your chickens while you realize any job thats within driving distance pays a lower wage per hour than the cost to drive from your homestead and back. You can also listen to your partner complain about it the whole time too. Not that it’s all bad. I would just seriously consider where you are going to get a sufficient amount of carbohydrates and sugars out in the middle of nowhere, and how exactly you plan to keep pests out of your garden.
