@SirWilfredUK @geniusfoods So frustrating. They sent me vouchers but to be honest, who would buy their bread again after that?!? When I make my own, it never happens so just don't understand how it occurs so regularly with genius and other supermarket brands.
@geniusfoods just not good enough. A he all the way through!!! How many times does this need to happen?! I try and make my own bread when I can and this never happens so why does it always happen with you? Not happy.
@foodgov Hi, is it right that @marksandspencer's sell a range called 'Made without wheat' that has wheat derivatives in it. They fobbed me off with gluten free quotes but that is not the issue here.
So it would seem @marksandspencer are misleading people with allergies and intolerances. Some of their "Made Wiithout Wheat" range contains dextrose from wheat. Surely they can't call it Made Wiithout Wheat?Dangerous and unacceptable. Need name change and ingredients clarifying.
@marksandspencer Quite a lot of your made without wheat contains dextrose. For example tempura chicken, quiche, cheese rolls. I asked and was told it was wheat dextrose. Can send screenshot if need be..
@marksandspencer I think you have had long enough to get back to me and agree that calling a product Made without wheat that uses a wheat derivative is not only extremely misleading but ridiculous and dangerous. Maybe you should also look at USA's new labelling laws.
@marksandspencer You are all totally misunderstanding me.I have been told that the dextrose you use in the made without wheat range is wheat derived. I want to know how it can be with that name (I know it's gluten free, not the issue here). I haven't purchased because I can't have wheat dextrose
@marksandspencer This doesn't help and I feel like you are not understanding. Either you need to use maize dextrose or change your name. It was confirmed to me you use wheat dextrose in Made Without Wheat products.
@marksandspencer They aren't though as have been told the dextrose is wheat derived. Gluten isn't the problem, it's wheat. How can you have a product called Made Without Wheat that contains something derived from wheat. I am ill from wheat dextrose, wheat glucose etc. It's not acceptable.
@marksandspencer Lots of companies don't state where their dextrose, glucose Syrup and maltodextrin come from. But no other company call themselves MADE WITHOUT WHEAT and use ingredients derived from wheat. Can you acknowledge how dangerous that is? This has nothing to do with being gluten free.
@marksandspencer And just to help you out. This is Waitrose's ingredients from their gluten free range. And they don't claim wheat free in their name. I will go d a wheat dextrose for you to pass on too.
