@asmodeanskiller Thankfully i can't rly think of a time where they completely changed the plot, but they still play an important role, notably in the evolution of rand perrin and mat's dynamic. I guess they might be some element of mythology RJ drew inspiration from? I cant think what it would be

@asmodeanskiller They're kind of the weak link in the whole storytelling of the series, i remember not understanding that whole concept when they were first introduced. they follow no particular logic, and i guess their whole point is being random but that just comes across as lazy plot devices
