@Drethegrater And the division should be Major Surface Combatants and Patrol Vessels. I’d put the Rajah Sulayman class in Major, just below the Malvar class. If I’d make a Surface Task Force, it’ll be 1 Malvar (AntiAirAndSurface), 1 Rizal (AntiSubAndSurface) and 2 Sulaymans (AntiSub).

@jayveemuno60726 @av8harrier023 If you’re indeed a follower of MaxDefense, you’d know that aside from being an OPV, the Sulayman class is being used as an ASW corvette with the TASS module from Canada. If the PCG gets them, they wont have TASS as ASW is PN’s job. Also PCG is being offered the same ship anyway.

And no, we need OPVs to patrol our long coastline because PLAN and CCG isnt the only threat. Theres also rebels, separatists and drug trade in the south and other parts of the country.

@jayveemuno60726 @av8harrier023 OPV is for patrol and presence. It’s not meant for theater warfare. Let the Sulayman do the normal patrols. Can also do ASW patrols.

And we need more Rajah Sulayman class since we have a vast coastline.

About the Rizal, if we can still get them for cheap, they are good platform

@MonteroMax The job is to act as point defense for a task force. Even the VL-MICA NG’s is still point defense-esque. We need more salvo than range for now. Just get longer ranged weapons for the bigger ships like HD-4000 and HD-6000
