God consistently removes His saints before enacting judgment, as evidenced in:
Genesis 5:24 (Enoch's translation),
Genesis 7:9-10 (Noah entering the ark),
Genesis 19:23 (Lot's escape from Sodom),
2 Kings 2:1 (Elijah's ascension), and
Revelation 1:10 (John's vision).
The tribulation is specifically for Israel, as highlighted in:
Deuteronomy 4:30,
Daniel 10:14, and
Jeremiah 30:7 ("the time of Jacob's trouble").
Meanwhile, the Church is not destined for wrath but deliverance, affirmed in:
1 Thessalonians 5:9,
Hebrews 9:28, and
2 Thessalonians 2:3.
"Church shall be suddenly taken up from hence. There shall be, saith He, tribulation such as was not from the beginning, neither shall be." -Irenaeus AD 180, Against Heresies Volume 5.
“For all the saints and elect of God are gathered together before the tribulation which is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins.” - Ephraem the Syrian (c. 306–373 AD)
@Shuathehutt@Elohim_Gadol I’m very sorry to hear that. You deserved better. That wasn’t God though. That was your dad not living the Word of God that he “preached”. Jesus is Love. He is the author of Love. Your dad should have shown that to you.
@Shuathehutt@Elohim_Gadol God doesn’t want anyone to spend eternity in hell, but He is a holy God and cannot look upon sin. But He made a way for us to be reconciled with Him by the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ Jesus. There had to be atonement. Either we accept what Christ did to atone for our sin
@Shuathehutt@Elohim_Gadol In the end though it will not be what others did with Jesus, but what we did with Jesus. The whole meaning of this life is to make a decision whether we have a relationship with Christ and surrender to Him in repentance of sin, or reject Him. This life is temporary.
@Shuathehutt@Elohim_Gadol “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”(II Peter 3:3,4).
I'm not going to be hiding in the woods.
I'm not going to starve or lack anything.
I'm not going to have to run for my life.
I'm not going to have to avoid people.
I'm not going to watch loved ones suffer.
I'm simply not going to be here for the tribulation. I am saved by the blood of the Lamb, and I will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:9 KJV
“I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Revelation 3:10 KJV
Waiting for the Bridegroom
Christ in Prophecy — Revelation tells us about the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, when Jesus and His Bride will finally be together forever ( Revelation 19:6-9 ). What a celebration that’s going to be! Every believer who has trusted in Christ for salvation will be there, rejoicing together because of what He has done. https://t.co/Po74VuumOk
