@GavinNewsom We were there, COB showed up to offer services 30 minutes after the entire encampment had been kicked out. Residents have dispersed into the community and not into safe housing. Mental health services were never offered.

California is moving folks out of encampments, into safe housing and getting them the mental health services they need. The conditions at this site in Berkeley are unacceptable and unsafe. Homelessness can be solved and the #CAcomeback Plan puts us on that path.

Mike Lee was an unrelenting #homeless activist. All of us are sad. We have lost so many this year Mike Zint, Margy Wilkinson, Clarke Sullivan and now Mike. Each are a part of the legacy of Berkeley that is woven in a fabric made of protest and resistance. Rest in power friends.
