I am not likely to tweet about this again but please know there is no sadness but only joy surrounding This process. I will eventually feel no pain, not have to feel this kind of fight and I am no longer likely to field this kind of pain
Thanks for kind thoughts/well wishes. Hospitalized since December. Now in hospice. This is a difficult tweet b/c I wanted this process to be faster and more private. Not ignoring you out of anger or lack of acceptance. Was hoping you’d find out when I’d passed. Sending only love.
Hospitalized @cedarssinai with a feeding tube because still can’t keep food in. Pain med they gave me is making me puke. And cedars is refusing the only anti nausea that works. It’s a #cancer drug my doctor gives me all the time. Why do I have to fight for this? #exhausting
@AntionetteKlet1@CedarsSinai Thank you. Yes. I’ve been around this nausea block for years so I know what my body responds to. It’s not an expensive drug either. Just may complicate paperwork. I’ll keep pushing tomorrow. Thanks for weighing in. 🙏♥️
@flaviaspeaks@CedarsSinai Omg you’re amazing. I’ll keep you posted. Hopefully cedars will screw their heads on right before we have to do anything like that. 🙏♥️
@iammaedeline@latimes@CedarsSinai Thank you for the kind support. You’re right...having to fight this kind of thing while dealing with stage iv cancer feels unnecessary. You’re gorgeous for tweeting. ♥️
@curliegirlie31@CedarsSinai Thank you. Me too. Going into surgery tomorrow and right now the option they’re giving me is pain or nausea. Pretty caring. Lol appreciate the note. Makes me feel less alone. 🙏♥️
@jankrav@CedarsSinai Thank you. It’s confusing. They only approve one anti nausea drug that historically makes me sicker. Hoping they change their mind. Aldo hoping you’re well. ♥️
@Eira_Wales @Ferriswheel04 I get why she did what she did. It's about going out on your own terms maybe. It is hard when everyone has an opinion and so much fear surrounding death. I'm sorry she passed but good for her to sticking to her guns and listening to her body.
Woman in the radiation waiting room approached me and asked to share some holistic therapies. I told her I was stage iv. She waved her hand, “That’s nothing,” she said, “A million stage iv patients have been cured.” Ummm #WheresThatStudy#cancer#amsm#bcsm#BreastCancer#bcmets
@Ferriswheel04 Haha. I would but she’s as desperate as the rest of us for hope. I mean, that’s what most anecdotally proven remedies provide: hope. And sometimes someone gets lucky. Hope you’re doing well. Really nice to read your voice in the thread. ♥️
@walkinglife Oh wow. Do they seem to know as little about that disease as they do metastatic cancer? I can’t imagine what you’ve been through. Love to you and thank you for sharing this. ♥️
