If you thought that airline prices were going to go down once the price of fuel dropped, then you still don't understand the corporate greed that price gouged us during Covid, and kept prices high after it.
Yes. I read it as a child. Because it’s a children’s book.
We keep lowering standards for children’s media and then wonder why kids can’t read or grasp complex concepts.
Running into words you don’t know is part of the learning experience. Not an insurmountable obstacle.
My least favorite celebrity content is “athlete spotted partying after loss, he must not be dedicated”
What you want him to do, sit in his room and sulk? Bro has like 3 weeks off a year. Let him live his life.

I find it fascinating that Carli Lloyd is taking the brunt of the criticism over Pulisic when Landon Donovan said the same exact thing.
I'm sure it's nothing.
There's old articles/interviews of Landon's mother saying these things as well from back when he first got called up to the national team.
She even said he wasn't the best player on his youth/rec teams and got the benefit of being the one free player for travel due to racism.
When Lalas says something so stupid it gives you brain damage, remember that our economy is run by people who think exactly like him.
Why invest in programs that benefit communities when corporations can CHARGE them for a worse service!
Suddenly things make a lot more sense!
It’s interesting that the “pay to play” youth sports model draws criticism so heavily in soccer. It’s that bad in every sport—but because we happen to produce world class athletes/teams in the other sports we pretend it’s more acceptable there.
Landon's message to Christian Pulisic:
"This is an opportunity to help and to change your life forever. One of the biggest problems - I speak to people who are at U.S. Soccer. I speak to his sponsors. I speak to his teammates. I speak to the staff and the coaches. People are fed up with the way things are handled around him. And it's not necessarily him, but it's his agents, his family, his hangers-on, the people who are influencing. People are fed up with it. They treat people poorly. They do things poorly. It's always a 'no' whenever you wanna ask, 'Can we do an interview?' It's always a, 'No, you can't get near him.' He doesn't say 'hi' to the commentators who do all the games all the time when they walk by. All the other guys come over and shake hands and say, 'Hello.' There's just this sense about him that you can't get near him. And I actually don't think it's from him. I think it's from I think it's from the people around him."
Christian Pulisic on Instagram following the USMNT's 4-1 defeat to Belgium in the World Cup Round of 16 🇺🇸🎙️
"Tough to find the words. I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who believed. The support carried us all the way through. It simply wasn’t good enough from us in the end and I wanted to deliver so much more.. I still feel blessed to be a part of this team. The memories this summer will last a lifetime. It’s just the start for us and for this sport in America. 🇺🇸"
