When kids struggle with reading or math, we provide more support and practice. When they struggle with behavior, we often do the opposite. Imagine if we gave kids detention for poor ELA performance. Anyone think that would help? Me either.

@NAEmmanuele I always tell kids you aren't stupid you just learn differently and this is how we put things in place to support your learning style. I hate kids thinking they're stupid. Many of my students with IEPs do better than other kids because they work harder.
