avoids taxes is a territory incentive working as written. Mad at the guy but not the rules that been put in place for years & tacking "practicing jew" on a tax post tells everyone the tax part was never even the point.
🚨 Baltimore Police Officer-Involved Shooting
On April 2, 2026, Western District officers responded to Wilson Street and Brunt Street for a report of a man being assaulted by multiple individuals.
Officers located 35-year-old Tavon Newton nearby after he fled on foot. During an attempt to take him into custody, Newton resisted and struggled with officers in a parking lot.
Police said an officer deployed a Taser, but Newton continued to resist and gained control of the Taser during the struggle. At that point, one officer discharged his firearm, striking Newton.
Officers provided medical aid before Newton was transported to a hospital in stable condition. A handgun was recovered from his sling bag, and a knife was also recovered at the scene.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT) in coordination with the State’s Attorney’s Office.

I wonder who’s writing is actually making it into the show, because thankfully Hal doesn’t seem to care about John’s skin color, and in the last episode they said he’s actually a fan of him.
"Lanterns" writers say the show's buddy cop relationship was informed by the context of the 2024 DNC and Biden dropping out to let Kamala run for president.
Hal Jordan finds John Stewart "threatening," as he's "young and black and handsome and strong and confident."
