Dragon Age: Veilguard | How Romance and Relationships Work

▪️Veilguard will be BioWare's most romantic game yet
▪️Each companion has a relationship level tied to Rook, affected by all of your choices in the world
▪️You gain a skill point you can spend on each companion when you rank up their relationship level
▪️Each companion has 5 unique upgradable abilities (you can bring 3 into combat) which can synergize with your Rook's build
▪️Each companion's issues, personal quests, etc play into their relationship with you
▪️Friendships are also an important aspect, not just romance
▪️Romances are all different - some characters are straight to the point, while others have never been in a relationship before and can be a little awkward
▪️Relationships are another way to level up companions on top of XP and skill points (conversations can affect your standing with them)
▪️Companions are pansexual, they can be attracted to you regardless of your Rook's gender or other NPCs
▪️Companions can also form romances with each other, especially if you give one the cold shoulder (they may embrace someone else)
