“We are not in a climate crisis, or even a wildfire crisis, we are in a leadership crisis.”
Exactly! We need strong, capable Canadians, especially younger voices to step up and lead. Too often, politicians and their advisors wait to see what the polls say instead of doing what’s right.
Real leaders are the ones who do the right thing when it is uncomfortable and unpopular, not the ones who wait to see what the polls say.
Leaders like Jeff Everly have shown the courage to act with strength and confidence when others stayed silent. Many other courageous Canadians did the same.
Comment below with the name of a Canadian you believe has what it takes to lead their city, province, or country. It is going to take many people stepping forward, so let’s inspire the next generation to get involved!
A must read !-Carney has failed Canada
The Carney government is facing criticism for several reasons, based on recent sentiment and reports:
1.Economic Challenges and Unemployment
The Canadian economy is struggling, with only 7,400 jobs added in April 2025 and an unemployment rate rising to 6.9%, driven by U.S. tariffs impacting manufacturing and trade sectors. Critics argue Carney’s policies haven’t countered these economic headwinds effectively.
2. Austerity and Spending Cuts
Carney’s push for significant cuts to public spending (7.5% to 15% by 2029) and the federal public service, alongside increased military and border security spending, is seen as prioritizing austerity over social services, contradicting campaign promises of modest spending caps.
3.U.S. Trade Relations
Despite promises to mitigate U.S. tariffs, Carney has conceded that avoiding them is unlikely, leading to perceptions of ineffective negotiations with the U.S. and a failure to protect Canadian economic interests.
4. Public Trust and Transparency
Allegations of misleading claims about Carney’s past business dealings, particularly with Brookfield Asset Management, and comparisons to his predecessor Justin Trudeau have fueled distrust among some Canadians.
5. Unmet Campaign Promises
Critics argue Carney has not delivered on key promises, such as addressing housing affordability and economic growth, while some voters feel his focus on global crises overshadows domestic issues like cost-of-living concerns
While Carney retains some support for his economic expertise and leadership on the global stage, these issues contribute to perceptions of failure among detractors.
