@huskerfugitt@BrennanBaxt Court order has ruled him eligible, Tech ruling him ineligible now would give Sorsby the right to sue if he wanted to, as it would violate the injunction
@BYUSportsNation@jaromjordan@Spencer_Linton It’s not “Hey I’m rich I’m gonna sue you” it’s “If you violate this court order (that Sorsby filed for, not Tech), we have the right to sue”
@5thDownCFB@dannykanell You failed to mention that Tech ruled Sorsby ineligible when they learned of the gambling and sent him to rehab to seek help and treatment, before the NCAA ruled him ineligible, and only supported him after he decided to file the case against the NCAA himself, not Tech
Dishonest and unethical reporting have been part of the problem with this entire narrative. Shame on you @PeteThamel. Kirby Hocutt is trying to empathize with the situation and you’re trying to pour gasoline on the fire. Find some journalistic integrity
After the hate spewed at our softball team last week and now the utterly ridiculous disproportionate, often inaccurate, outrage about Sorsby, I've never been happier to be a Red Raider and a fan of a school that will not accept the old status quo anymore.
I love us. #WreckEm
Agree with Colin 100%. A common sense approach!
As a Tech fan, am I “proud” of this whole deal? No. Not even a little if we’re 100% honest.
But the pearl clutching and holier than thou from other fanbases looks ridiculous IMO.
Why the fuck is it Texas Tech’s job to be the morality police on behalf of the entire CFB landscape? We are just expected to do the right thing to a massive detriment to ourselves. Yeah let me know the last time Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama or Georgia thought about CFB as a whole.
Cincinnati didn’t report Sorsby when they found out he was betting and continued to play him. Sorsby comes to tech without tech knowing. Sorsby caught and tech makes him ineligible and asked NCAA for reinstatement, which was denied. Sorsby sues NCAA on his own = tech bad guys
Curious what Texas Tech has truly done wrong in this situation??? None of what Soresby did happened while he was at Texas Tech.
Texas Tech was not the one who made the court ruling. I don’t see anyone mentioning Indiana or Cincinnati?
Why is everyone skipping over the bigger issue here? If Cincy knew about the gambling allegations and chose to do nothing, why aren’t they facing the same scrutiny this morning? Had the situation been addressed when it was discovered, this likely wouldn’t even be a story today.
