I've fallen so deeply in love with Mississippi that I am almost embarrassed to say it. Tupelo is one of the best small towns I've ever seen. Bay Saint Louis, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs are idyllic. Take the Natchez Trace and you'll find ecosystems and landscapes that will take your breath away and completely strip away any pretense of what "the South" means to you. The people great. You can drive two hours north of New Orleans and find ghetto trailer parks in the pines filled with people who feel like they're out of a John Grisham novel. That is to say, they're almost too cliche to be real and in ways that only deep abuse from the rest of the country can create in people. Sweet, funny, deep, eccentric.
America's best kept secret is Mississippi.
No photo shoots dressed like a mannequin at Neiman Marcus.
No interviews in a celebrity culture magazine to explain why he keeps leaving jobs.
No shots taken at other SEC schools about academic credit hours.
Just a guy who shows up every day & goes to work.
"I am very proud of my school. My school had to make changes years ago and did. I know so many people who send their kids to Ole Miss that have a great experience. It's my school and always will be."

No one deserved this award more than DJ. He was a perfect vet this year. When his number was called he was ready, when it wasn’t he was showed up with a voice of experience, encouragement and accountability.
Congratulations DJ….much deserved my brother 👊🏾

“Yeah I see his posts every now and then. He likes attention and folks give it to him. If he coached as good as he tweeted, Ole Miss might have had a Natty by now”
