Three years ago today marked @WhitbyCurling’s Celebration of Life for departed ice tech/manager Gord Carroll.
He was the first face of Nokia Canada’s journey into curling event sponsorship and his image appeared often in advertisements.
June is Pride Month.

Hired as Icemaker in 1979. Changed the sport in Whitby. His skills were the best in the world. Taught thousands of kids to curl. Inducted into @WhitbySHoF and Lifetime Achievement of @CurlON_
Retired in 2001. Passed away in 2020
