A huge credit to the Crecimiento movement and its founders, partners, and advisors for their continued integrity and vision.

What began in Q2 2024 as a grassroots effort has grown into one of the most ambitious citizen-led movements in Latin America - built by Argentines, for Argentina.

I’m one of the few contributors from inception who isn’t Argentine, and to date I’ve only ever been met with openness, generosity, and deep purpose from everyone involved.

The results speak for themselves:
• 20,000+ participants across Argentina and abroad
• 7,000+ registered citizens contributing to the platform
• 1,300+ projects launched nationwide
• 850+ startups building under its umbrella
• 150+ programs, sponsors, and supporters driving its mission
• 3 Pop-Up Cities held
• Devconnect being hosted in Buenos Aires next month
• 1 framework enabling the creation of digital zones in development

That’s one large tent.

On the one issue relating to the zone infrastructure circulating recently, I personally believe debate is useful - it’s what many have been doing tirelessly across all the issues above for over 18 months. Policy work in particular requires friction, collaboration, and healthy disagreement. That’s how legitimacy is built.

I don’t pretend to understand what motivates people and find social media a difficult medium for nuance, but facts matter.

As discussions intensify ahead of sensitive elections - which are always a tense time for everyone - a few points are worth grounding in:

• Crecimiento is a movement
It has no single author, no central owner, and no hidden agenda. Its legitimacy comes from exactly that - plural, transparent, and open. Those suggesting otherwise, respectfully, know this.

• Built entirely in public
Every proposal, partnership, and milestone has been shared openly since inception - involving ministries, universities, investors, and builders across the political spectrum. It’s one of the most bipartisan initiatives in the country. Anyone who’s paid attention can vouch for that.

• Ideas ≠ mandates
One or a few contributors’ views on a potential alignment asset in the future doesn’t equate to policy. The diversity of thought within Crecimiento - including those for and against such mechanisms - is a strength, not a flaw. The movement has been consistently clear about that. Pluralism, not dogma, should continue to guide it.

• False affiliation claims
Attempts to link Crecimiento to damaging cases like LIBRA or CAEE are knowingly false. Given core Crecimiento contributors actually helped mitigate communications fallout around those incidents, to twist that is unfair to those who worked tirelessly to uphold Argentina’s credibility.

• Conflicts & openness
Competition is healthy - encouraged, even - but any motivations tied to competing infrastructure should also be declared openly by those seeding doubts. Transparency works both ways.

• Articles & sourcing
I champion free speech. But it doesn’t reflect well when those amplifying stories also own the media outlets behind them. It naturally raises questions about editorial independence and fact-checking integrity.

I will continue to stand proudly with the thousands of Argentines - and global supporters - to help build this movement with integrity and purpose. I’ve been alongside them in the trenches and remain proud of the work. They’ve earned that respect.

It’s also worth remembering that we’re all ultimately working toward the same goal - a freer, fairer, and more innovative Argentina. The focus should be on building common ground.

I have no doubt the invitation remains open to all who wish to engage constructively to do so. Echoing what has been said already: Argentina deserves seriousness, collaboration, and hope - not distortion.

While I do not know the individual who appears to be behind the current campaign, I have deep respect for their contributions to Ethereum, the builder community in Argentina/LatAm, and the wider crypto ecosystem. I feel it would be valuable to see those energies directed toward meaningful dialogue.

After all that’s precisely what the platform Crecimiento has built affords. I’d encourage Crecimiento to again extend that olive branch - perhaps at the 4th iteration of Regulation Day, held at Devconnect on 20 Nov - to discuss more fully these important issues, with all voices and motivations in the light.

I look forward to seeing the ways this can strengthen alignment towards a brighter future.

We appreciate concerns being raised openly - the ecosystem needs to have transparent conversations.

To be clear: there is no token launch.

Crecimiento exists with a clear mission: making Argentina one of the best places in the world to build the next wave of innovation.

We do this through two pillars:
- Ecosystem building - hackathons, education, startup programs, and community activation.
- Policy work - proposing better regulatory conditions for innovation to thrive.

A Digital Zone is a natural next step in this mission. We’ve spent over a year exploring how a zone could unlock growth for founders, improve regulatory clarity, and help attract talent and investment to the country. We’ve done all of this publicly, engaging broadly with the crypto ecosystem as a whole.

Digital Zones, in Argentina or around the world, would require companies to build and run infrastructure and services. There are many other great initiatives, which we celebrate, that provide services to governments and help push the adoption forward.

To accelerate this vision, we began fundraising from potential investors. There is no token launch. A token side letter was proposed by investors, as is standard in blockchain projects, to keep future options open; however, launching a token is not part of our current plans.

We chose to do this through a startup structure to ensure operational capacity and long-term sustainability while the broader movement remains led by a non-profit foundation. Like every other startup, we recognize the challenges and risks to make this idea a reality. Quoting San Martín: "Es imposible, pero es imprescindible." We are building the best team for this purpose.

Crecimiento has always operated with transparency and openness. We value and welcome different perspectives. Open debate makes the ecosystem stronger. Our commitment remains the same: to build transparently, collaboratively, and with the mission of empowering founders and unlocking Argentina’s full potential.
