@milespointspro Went for a birthday weekend, absolutely loved it. Have to get a pool villa though, the outdoor space and day bed is really nice. Paid upgrade was very easy, and cost also only 10-12k cause base room itself is not very cheap. They even agreed to use GCs on upgrade.

@CenturionGuy1 Also like you pointed out, paying for status is out of FOMO and not realising you don’t stand to realise that much value from status unless you stay some 30 nights or so

@CenturionGuy1 100% chased it in 2024 cause I had about 25-30 nights stay planned in 2025 (bachelors + honeymoon + others). Then those stays helped renew platinum in 2025 for 2026. Planning trips this year and burning points and not chasing status for next year.

@eshwarvs Great thread! Fully agreed. Did a Mysore trip around when this opened, had 2 nights and grand Mercure and 1 nights here. This was miles better. One level upgrade itself is suite, so that’s sweet too
