मुकुंदपुर जू में वर्ष 2023 में बटरफ्लाई पार्क पर्यटकों हेतु लोकार्पित किया गया था और इसके साथ ही तितलियों लिए ब्रीडिंग सेंटर भी स्थापित किया गया।

ट्वेंनी कैस्टर, येलो ऑरेंज टिप, कॉमन क्रो,कॉमन मार्मन, ग्रास येलो, जैसी 15 प्रकार की तितली प्रजातियों की ब्रीडिंग मुकुंदपुर ज़ू में कराई जा रही है ।

कर्मचारी होस्ट गार्डन से तितली के अंडे और लार्वा एकत्र करते हैं। इन्हें विशेष डब्बे में रखकर होस्ट पौधों की पत्तियां खिलाई जाती हैं। प्यूपा बनने पर इन्हें प्यूपा चैंबर में रखा जाता है। 20–30 दिन बाद तितली निकलने पर उन्हें खुले में छोड़ दिया जाता है।
