@RepJayapal No one seems to discuss the logistical failure this decision will really be. It wont ever stop or reduce them from happening. It will however create the biggest crime wave ever. 10's of thousands and more new open murder cases flooding an already flooded justice system.

It's called a world market and just so happens that one of the major oil producers decided to go to war with one of the world's largest argiculture producers

That XL pipeline when/if built would not have been used at all for US consumption. The US already exceeds is production and sells its excess on the world market.
