Insane to realize that people would laugh and celebrate if my wife was murdered because she makes good money.
Like my wife doesn’t even have some fake corporate email job. She works in manufacturing and is surrounded by blue collar dudes all day.
But apparently because she’s white, worked hard in her career, and now makes really good money, it would absolutely be funny/justified if she got sucked into a conveyor belt and was brutally chopped up to death.
Got it 👍🏼
@Shillverstein I once dated a girl who would get home from work every single day and spend 3+ hours complaining about how miserable and toxic it was. I finally hit her with a…
“You know you’re allowed to quit right? No one is forcing you to work there.”
Oh boy did that not go well.
@FiredUpCoug “Purchasing exact item amounts often not possible”
This one really pisses me off because,
1. Freezers exist and they’re used for more than just ice cream.
2. Don’t pretend like you’ve never thrown away or didn’t finish part of your $30 delivery slop.
@TypoDynamofo Best part about chicken thighs (besides the price) is that you can forget them in the oven for like an hour and they still somehow come out juicy and tasty as hell. Literally impossible to mess up.
@MikeManyDigits@gov_fails Had a coworker once that claimed he had a “special DoorDash account” that saved him a ton of money and that’s why he got food delivery to the office everyday. He would literally brag to the office about this “secret deal” he magically possessed.
It was literally just DashPass.
@LMJofficially@4nt1p4tt3rn “Here’s a 2000sqft $300k home in one of the best school districts and safest cities in the country”
“But it’s not downtown manhattan :(“
There was a point over the past few days that I legitimately thought to myself, “man maybe it’s a good thing that these zoomers can’t afford homes.”
Like if you’re physically dependent on food magically appearing at your doorstep in order to be a functional adult in society, then maybe it’s a good thing that you haven’t signed your life away to a bank for a 30 year mortgage.
@TURBOPOSSUM My parents were upper/middle class. Literally the ONLY time we went out to eat was for either for birthdays or when my siblings and I completed the local library summer reading challenge thing and won the free pizza from Pizza Hut.
To me it’s the most shocking part of the debate. I really don’t care how much people spend on lunch. It’s their money, they can go be an idiot and waste $20. Whatever.
But pretending that your body requires an entire $20 Cava bowl doused in dressing in order to survive a random Wednesday afternoon at work is just insane.
@PigeonFeatherz My wife had some girlfriends over last night and I showed them that post. Lots of “awh he’s cute” comments regarding the fist picture. Room broke out in laughter once I swiped left to show them the “upgraded” fit.
There was a study I read a while back that examined brain activity/dopamine receptors of drug addicts during the process of acquiring their substance of choice.
The conclusion was basically that the simple ACT of purchasing said drugs/booze was MORE addicting than actually consuming said drug/booze.
So yeah, you’re absolutely spot on.
@ZyMazza I was a stock broker at Schwab for like 3 years 2019-2022).
I was making just over $20/hr, but when I told people I was a “stock broker” they looked at me like I was a millionaire finance genius.
