Hey everyone, here's the vod from last night if you missed my announcement. I've decided for many reasons, the final being that I know any% will continue improving without my physical grind ongoing, that I'm retiring from competitive speedruns of Battle for Bikini Bottom.
For ten long years I've pushed the run down by 26 consecutive minutes with the help of countless others on the R&D side of the community. But I feel now that in order to fulfill my destined role as the event/project organizer of the community, unifier and hype man of everything Sponge, and to finish on my own terms at a crucial time before any further physical injury, this is for the best.
I now have plenty of time and mental clarity to assure you all the definitive August celebration we deserve. Once the festivities conclude, I will immediately begin creating the ultimate documentary for everything BfBB from the creation of SpongeBob SquarePants, to my retirement as a competitor. The follow-up to the original documentaries you've all been waiting for.
Alongside this, I will put together a team of our best to create a community fix for BfBB Rehydrated, which I believe to be the necessary step forward in reviving and cementing our place as the greatest speedrun community of all time. If all goes well, I will apply all I've learned to reviving in-person events for the grassroots speedrunning community. By the people, for the people. With boots on the ground for an entire decade and my ear to the hardest working runners of all time, I assure you I and I alone am the man to lead the charge for a second speedrun golden age. But I cannot do it with the current bandwidth I am allotted - this major life change is necessary to fulfill these promises.
We are only getting older, and the window to take action is closing. I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running, continuing to dedicate my life to the community I love. Now better than ever, knowing for the first time ever, that my beloved game will carry on in my wake. It's bfbb forever bros.
Tonight around 7-8ish we're gonna play the Dutchman and some other Stuff based on what you guys want! This 1.5-month period will be the pregame before the culmination of our hard work - the 10-year celebration. I'm going to see you all there regularly until then - TIME TO HYPE IT UP!!!!
Thank you for letting me live out the dreams of my twenties. Here's to beyond. Faster together, movie forever. 💜

@SoundDobad I know this may sound petty, but I can’t stand it when people put photoshop a meth pipe in my mouth. A crack pipe doesn’t have that little bowl at the end. This is why we can’t trust AI. Please make the appropriate edit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
@ArcTheSnep I work in the Maritime industry and one of our best employees is gay. It's the first thing that's mentioned about him when he's introduced, not that he's a united states veteran or a highly educated engineer, it's that he's gay
@notcapnamerica I'm finally moving out of Ohio very soon. I can't stand anti-intellectual politicians. They always act and feel like a genius, but all they do is deregulate. It pisses me off
Drivin’ down this Lonesome Road, burdened by a heavy load…
Remorseless, deadly, and cruel… but Zodiac ain’t like the other cats — he’s got a gun.

@g3m33 My Grandfather took a camera with him to Japan during the Korean war. He was there for 18 months and was treated incredibly respectfully considering Japan was militarily occupied by the Americans so I've always respected Japanese for that
@EricRichards22 Also this area is peak rust belt so the local labor pool isn't great ton of meth or crack heads with felonies and no car. It's def strange here
@EricRichards22 I literally work for a ship repair company. Over 90% of our welders are from outside the U.S. and they work insane hours. Our dock is on the great lakes, so all the repairs are done during the winter so it's only temp work tbf. The money ain't bad but there's def better out there
