For Black History Week year 1 have learnt about Ruby Bridges. We read a story about her life and have been able to create a year group poster to tell people about her story!
What a great first week we had in Year 1! Were so excited for the year to come.

What an amazing year we have had in Year 1! We have been to Conisbrough Castle, been scientists and we have made sculptures inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.

In PSHE we have been thinking about how to stay healthy. We were able to design our own healthy lunches and talked about why it is important to eat and drink certain things.
Today we went on a local walk to Osgathorpe Park. We need to remember all the things we saw on our way to make a birds eye view map of our journey next week!
This week in computing we have been working on making E-books. We chose a story from our reading area and created a digital version. We added sounds and animations to each page! #purplemash
