Could go on all night about numerous individual players and their part in a truly incredible season, but I’m boring myself now - never mind everyone else.
So I’ll leave it there with this…
UTFPLT.
(UP THE FUCKING PREMIER LEAGUE TIGERS)
YOU ‘UUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLL! 🧡
Not posted for a while on this cesspit (not that anyone would have missed me!), but thought I’d add some random reflections on an amazing few weeks now the dust has settled…
The journey’s always better than the destination, so I’m not thinking about next season just yet.
That said, I’d happily give almost all this squad a crack at the PL, thus keeping the amazing team spirit that got us there, & spend big on quality, rather than quantity. #hcafc
@Ambraneri Even more remarkable when you consider that they’ve only scored in the same game once, and that was the first home game of the season, when Joff scored in the first minute and Oli in the last. #hcafc
Ive no problem with the effort today but the quality was terrible. So many awful crosses straight out or to the keeper. A very disappointing end to what has been a superb season. #hcafc
I should have added ‘or a draw that is useless to both’.
Not getting two ahead in a dominant 1st half again left us vulnerable.
2nd half was always going to be chaotic & 2 minutes of madness cost us. Albeit started by a complete guess by the referee to award a penalty. #hcafc
If I know the football gods, Leicester win tonight to kill our playoff hopes and are still relegated anyway thanks to results elsewhere.
Football is misery. #hcafc

@KathrynBatte “John, last Saturday you refereed a game so badly we had to apologise to the losing side & on Monday you gave one of the softest red cards ever. After such a week, there’s only one thing for it…
…how would you like to be heavily involved in the biggest match of this season?”
@PhilBarker6 I had a feeling at half time we’d regret not getting the second goal with the chances we’d had.
That said, I thought we pretty comfortable when it was 11 v 11, but once we were down to 10, I knew what was coming
Lundstram’s first yellow. What the hell did he do to warrant a yellow?
The beginning of an absolute horror show of a last half hour from the referee. #hcafc
@HCAFCReuben “Probably”
He was on the floor with their centre half stood over shouting at him. He just got up and walked off. The referee should have been thanking him for not inflaming the situation
@northernassist I applied for the 'Super League day ranger ticket offer' yesterday but I haven’t received the email with the codes. Is the offer still open?
@RobCragz Phillips made 3 saves & 2 were shots from 25+ yards out. Like I said, he did well, but was far from a Myhill at Spurs job. The Harris chance at the end was the only time I felt they were going to score in open play.
Oxford drew with Coventry and Boro recently. They are no mugs.
Might be in the minority but I thought we played ok. Had control of the majority of the match but didn’t get the final ball right once in the second half.
Phillips did well in difficult conditions.
Take the point and move on. #hcafc
