Me - "Did the song say 'Nut in a girl? No!" Ayyye! Teach the youths about safe sex!
@AkilSosa - "Uh, no. It said 'nuttin no go, so... No gyal never kiss yuh mouth after she done give yuh head.".
Me - "So, the exact opposite of what I thought. I love reggae. 🫠"
I pinched Theo's butt while we were playing the other day.
Theo - "Mommy. You didn't ask for permission, and you just touched my private part. Remember how you always ask before you wash my penis in the bath?"
The kids are going to be alright. 🥰
That reflex didn’t come naturally. Someone taught her. Without it, she might have stayed silent. Mandatory sex education in schools isn’t a debate. It’s the bare minimum we owe children.
My company has paused hiring in favor of spending more on AI. They're trying to find a way to pass the bill on to clients. They're also requiring employees to come into the office more, which seems like a way to get us to quit and recoup money.
I can't wait till AI fails 😈
Corporate America enters its AI reckoning phase as IT bills keep rising and consumer sentiment nosedives.
My latest, which includes an account from a CFO fretting over a half a *billion* dollar accidental AI bill: https://t.co/EQhgn0v8DI
Theo - "Do we have any hot Cheetos?"
Shidi - "We can go to the store. I got paid today."
Theo - "How much?"
Shidi - "Enough."
Me - "Mind your business."
Theo - "I need to know how much money I can spend!"
I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.
I was sitting in a coffee shop this morning when a dad walked in with his two young kids.
They were dressed, packed with matching backpacks, and relatively calm.
Another guy in line looked at him, smiled warmly, and said, “Look at you, giving Mom a day off! Good on you, man. Babysitting duty?”
The dad chuckled, looked proud, and said, “Yeah, just doing my part to help out.”
It seemed like a sweet exchange.
But then I watched the dad open one of the backpacks. Inside, everything was meticulously organized: juice boxes, sliced apples in small containers, extra change of clothes, wet wipes, and a specific toy for the toddler.
The dad didn't pack that bag.
He didn't wake up an hour early to coordinate outfits, slice fruit, or anticipate a bathroom accident. He had simply been handed the bag and told where to go.
Yet, to the world, he was a hero "helping out."
And to him, he was "babysitting" his own children.
And that’s why so many women are exhausted.
Because parenting their own kids is considered a mother's default setting, but a father doing it is treated like a charitable donation. The mental load of planning the entire excursion is completely invisible, while the simple act of showing up gets a standing ovation.
@kourtfrazier EXACTLY!!! We've taken toys away, sent him to his room, not fixed toys he's broken... Depends on what happened. Kids can learn without being hit!
Just watched this kid take his tablet and SLAM it on the ground. Now, I've changed my ways, but when I tell y'all it took EVERYTHING in me to not beat his ass! No boundaries or discipline anywhere.
