So far I’ve spent 15 hours writing 14 measures of a Christmas song about angels.
If only I had taken music composition in college instead of business administration.🙄
Full of metaphors of hope…Air Supply released this song in June of 1982. I had never heard of it until my friend Roland requested it prior to his passing. Full song at

@picstoral This was my friend Roland’s favorite song. It was produced out of love for him before he died. I think Mr. Denver would have appreciated his song shared for such a positive purpose. I honor what he gave us when he wrote this song.❤️

Shoutout to RICH OLIVER on keyboards and TYLER WIXOM for his stunning guitar solo. Love you guys!❤️
SONGS THAT HOLD US
Music can soothe grief. Join our special evening of familiar songs and conversation created to support The Waiting Place, a grief and trauma companioning center that offers safe space for those navigating loss. June 3rd, at 7pm MST.
A friend asked me how I write music. It’s one of two ways or a combination of both. Sometimes it starts with words that form a poem. This drives the melody. Other times it starts with a lick. That forms the word patterns. Eventually a verse or chorus forms and you build the rest around it. 🎶🎸
Coming June 3rd at 7pm MST. Whitne Strain Music is collaborating with The Waiting Place to bring a night of hope and comfort. It’s a benefit concert and podcast created to support The Waiting Place, a grief companioning center that provides support and a safe place to navigate through grief.
