The #ClassClinPsych team have written a brief comment on the changes to HEE funding announced today. @Jason712 has started a petition which can be accessed here: https://t.co/cU6Eit5CQs
The petition is here: Tried to include as much as I could by speaking to several people impacted by this. Probably could have created an entire document.

Weren’t pwp, cap roles aimed to diversify the profession? HUM brb … I gotta go & re-think my career path.. again…. Like I do everytime there’s a classist systemic change or one that delays the more diverse psych career paths🤔. Today’s news is a bonus - it’s both! #dclinpsy
So essentially now, if you have received HEE funding (e.g. as a trainee PWP) but haven't completed TWO years of practice after date of qualification, you can't apply to the DClinPsy (NHS funded route) yet. How can they suddenly say that, no warning or anything?
I had the privilege of handing over a Patient Diary to a recovering Covid pt yesterday.
This is patient care at it’s best.
I don’t think I have ever appreciated how important they are for patients, their family & staff.

Given what Simone Biles, Naomi Osaka and Ben Stokes have taught us, the lack of concern for Laurel Hubbard's mental health through all this is beyond shameful.
Your concern for cis athletes rings hollow if you're happy to dehumanise and vilify a trans athlete in the next breath.
What does it say about our society when the mere protection of your #MentalHealth is considered a liberty? When our sole call and consideration consists of 'Entertain Me'? Compassion should be our watchword.

We stand with @naomiosaka after her withdrawal from the French Open.
It takes great courage to disclose a mental health problem, and we hope that her honesty and openness provides inspiration for others experiencing mental health issues.

What a fantastic workshop👏Great reminder that CBT practise and supervision can be flexible and culturally responsive. The importance of building trust and safety within relationships and being human. Going to practice having curious, collaborative conversations around Genograms
Having a thought-provoking and reflective day with @andrewbeck45 and supervisors thinking about utilising supervision to meet the needs of minority groups and minority supervisees. 🙌
I don't hate any model of therapy, I integrate them into my work in different ways if they fit but what I dislike is when we put people through for CBT for X or DBT for X without a well formed, coproduced formulation but because that's what we do for anyone with that 'label'.
