@WalkableAustin@MidasTouchez Not until they rent and remodel their 30 million 100 congress HQ for an additional 15 million. Got to get done before they actually do any work. I mean priorities are priorities after all.
@WalkableAustin@BrandonTucker Yup, I’ll trade cheaper homes, better community amenities, better schools, better police and fire protection, lower crime and lower taxes so I can live in a building with up to 10 families. Nope, not gonna do it…
@juliogatx Fiscal Hawk does not = affability. Fiscal Hawks as why bike lanes are built and no one uses them and often don’t lead any where?? Fiscal hawks ask why we keep adding busses that no one uses?? We even ask where is the train we paid for????
@CharlotteL5d@PattyMurray It was 5 senators at 2:30 AM done as unanimous consent by a voice vote of the 5 with out the full body of the senate.
Not the full body.
@juliogatx Ahhh, it’s all 3.5 % for public safety that was done with negotiations for labor rights the city wants that are protected under state law that are causing the problem. What about the 4% for the rest of the city employees that occur without negotiating? Got it.
@WillingtonEddi1@chrisharris904 Crazy to think she was once an Austin Fire Fighter and used to work shoulder to shoulder with APD officers and knows full well how hard of a job it is. A real traitor to all Austin public safety employees.
@Princes29423698@molmccann@SouthwestAir If you only get one carry on you need to consolidate items and you just need enough stuff for the anticipated trip with a buffer for delays. Rest goes under the plane.
@KevinCastley Dallas operates under a council-manager system of government, where the city council, including the mayor, appoints a city manager to oversee daily operations and implement policies. This structure allows for a separation of legislative and executive powers within the city gov.
