my Dad was a Knicks fan for over 60 years. the time i probably disappointed him the most was when i chose the Celtics as my favorite team.
he always told me that i would have to bring flowers to his grave if the Knicks ever won it all, because he insisted it wonโt happen again in his lifetime.
last fall, my dad lost his battle with cancer. just a little before the start of this NBA season. i miss him dearly, and i know he would be enjoying the hell out of this Knicks run.
as a Celtics fan, itโs hard to watch a rival have this type of run. but as a son, i find some peace in it. i just know my Dad is watching somewhere and canโt believe his Knicks are Finals bound.
f*ck cancer. RIP Dad.
I think this isnโt just for ADHD ppl, it can be the case for Introverts who are forced to live very social lives and are surrounded by extroverts, in order to pay the bills and โsurviveโ.
The battery is so drained from all the forced socializing all dayโฆand the only time you can get any proper peace is when everyone else is sleepingโฆbut that means the only time that you can recharge your battery, is by depriving yourself of the sleep/rest you need..itโs brutal.
