Kim and Dave's affair is almost flawless as a storyline. But Nick sabotaging the hunt just never feels realistic. The accommodation for his daughter and him, and therefore his custody of her, is dependent on his job. So jeopardising that for a really weak practical joke is daft.

My mum very kindly sent me this today, with the observation that, if it had been me on the balcony, and my nose had got tickly, there's a chance I'd have wiped the royal family out.
@lewispringle "The Battle for Saturday Night."
I don't want to spoil the inner of that battle, but I don't even remember Eamon Holmes doing Saturday night TV.
@ChloeApLeftie Does anyone character acknowledge the high death rate? I know it'd potentially be a bit meta, but if I live in a small village and if it had so many deaths, I think it'd become something of a topic of conversation.
Husband managed to convince me that hosting a Superbowl party was a good idea. So today is being entirely dedicated to snuggling up on the sofa with him and making him watch Classic Emmerdale.
@The_Mac_Sheep Each episode could be sponsored by a different classic Emmerdale business.
"Before we begin, a word from our sponsors for this episode- Zak Attack Rat control."
"This episode is brought to you by Kathy's Tearoom."
And so on.
@The_Mac_Sheep I also enjoyed talking his ear off during Emmerdale.
"You know, the interesting thing about this moment is..."
"This scenes actually really important for furthering Kim's frustration with Frank..."
And so on. Very much the closest I'll get to a Ted Talk.
@The_Mac_Sheep It really was! Sports very much his thing, and Emmerdale (among other things, I swear!) is mine. So having this day where we fully indulged each others interests was really lovely. I actually enjoyed the Superbowl too, or at least the half time show.
I find so much of early summer 1995 so confusing with hindsight, especially Britt and Terry. Britt's evil father story goes nowhere, I'm assuming because during it Michelle Holmes decided she was leaving. It makes the whole storyline feel incongruous.
@The_Mac_Sheep I think Mike was the first time I'd not heard of a comic previously and they totally blew me away. John Kearns was another who blew me away in a later series. That's a really great line up! I adored Mel completely. And Bob is just magnificent in everything he graces.
Poorly today, so not left bed yet. Have watched series 11 of Taskmaster though. Still my absolute favourite. Mike Wozniak is my favourite contestant of all time, but the whole line up are fantastic. Plus Charlotte and Sarah are absolutely gorgeous.
@The_Mac_Sheep Ok, I'll maybe give it a go another time! I think this flu has me slightly tender emotionally! Haha.
Since it's in my brain at the moment, do you have a favourite Taskmaster contestant of all time?
@The_Mac_Sheep Aw thank you! I've had some form of flu type thing since Christmas, but it's really stepped up over the last week!
Oh don't! He's so charming, and he's probably too handsome to be classed as a weird crush. But definitely a crush for sure!
