.@outfest directing Lukewarm wasn't about learning about the world of dating in the gay community, but about directing a romcom that happened to be gay. The idea that a romcom is a romcom regardless of the gender ID of people falling in love was something I was proud to explore.
.@outfest Lukewarm was written by @johnpotter6 and @ericfeltes, so I'll let them reply to the origins of the ideas. For me as a director, I looked to classic romcoms for mood, tone, and lighting inspiration - #AzazelJacobs' The Lovers, The Breakup, and When Harry Met Sally.
