Sydney Sweeney refused to let "Euphoria" cut out nude scenes in Season 3.
âWell, itâs funny. When I first wrote it, I was like, âMaybe we shoot all of this and we donât have any nudity. Maybe thereâs ways to shoot around certain things?' And [Sydney] looked at me and she was like, âAre you kidding? Iâm playing an OnlyFans model. Youâre telling me youâre going to, like, skirt around it?â And I was like, âYeah, OK, thatâs a fair point,'â says creator Sam Levinson.
Levinson also confronted âcomplaints that thereâs nudity when there doesnât need to beâ in the first two seasons of âEuphoria,â saying: âFrom the script, you get a sense of what the role requires,â he said. âEven when you go up to audition, letâs use the role of Cassie, you know the role requires a certain amount of nudity. Are you comfortable? If theyâre comfortable, they get the role, then the next layer is the intimacy coordinator. I think itâs a SAG rule that if an actor then says, after getting cast, âActually, I donât want to do that,â we canât force them to do a scene.â (via New York Times)
