If I'm remembered for anything by anyone, I wanna be remembered for the times I made people happy, the times I made people smile. Because making other people happy, makes me happy too โค๏ธ
@DyingLightGame Spike isn't a real person. He doesn't have anywhere to go, he didn't need to "leave"
This pathetic "letter" does not justify gutting the opening to your game years after release.
This letter also mentions nothing of what was removed from the Hakon section of the opening.
@CryptumZetaXV Because you can't make a game for everyone
It's not possible to appeal to the individual wants and needs of every player.
If you can't commit to a specific, cohesive vision for a set playerbase then NO-ONE will be happy
The game won't be what people want, because it cant be.
@HiddenXperia It feels like HS is throwing everything at the wall to appease everyone.
The game has ADS but it's togglable
The game has 3rd person, but it's togglable
You have sprint, something that changes the balance of the game, but it's togglable.
Are they even designing a game anymore?
@HiddenXperia Does a remake even count though? It's not a new game or a new story. It's just CE but with flashy graphics and sprint.
Why can't things just end? Be done, left alone and buried?
This remake doesn't make me feel anything but disappointment.
@NE_PERSON7@TheHiddenOneAC I really hope that's not the case.
It would be really pathetic for Techland to cut parts of the game because players sided with the "wrong" faction.
@LateNightHalo Moody lighting and high contrast should still be possible though? Even with new lighting tech? If they put the effort in
Them settling for pure realism is the issue
I'm extremely worried now about what they'll do to 343GS again. If it'll once again suffer the same issues as CEA
@TheHiddenOneAC I'm also not a fan of how vibrant the colours are in resynced here
Nassau is supposed to be rotten with disease and death currently, so why is everything so saturated. It looks way too colourful for the tone of the storyline
The OG deliberately dulled the colours to feel sickly
@poisonvirgoo Battle passes in infinite are linear, you can't get things in whatever order you want. You have to go through the pages.
And when doing that you will get things that you don't want.
And then some of the things that you DO want will be locked behind paid bundles.
@poisonvirgoo I don't think just adding more slots makes it better. Reach's customisation was tied to its progression.
Play the game, earn credits, those credits go into a rank and you can spend them on whatever you want.
In infinite your armor comes from battle passes, seperate from xp rank
@zeddikins@LegoLiamNeeson I gave that a try some time ago and it didn't change anything. The effects and shadows were still missing. I even lowered my framerate to 30.
Lighting bloom is still affected by resolution changes and becomes highly unstable at 4K. Flickering in relation to camera movement.
@LegoLiamNeeson@zeddikins MCC is supposed to preserve the games as released.
Increaseing resolution and framerate is good.
Replacing the ghosty TAA with something that makes a clearer image is good.
But they shouldn't be changing the lighting of the cinematics. That needs to be kept as Bungie made it.
@LegoLiamNeeson@zeddikins It appears in several different intensities throughout the game, at its strongest when characters are standing in direct sunlight. And weaker indoors like in Noble Actual. Sometimes not visible at all.
I like that the bloom gives the impression the helmets are made of real glass
@LaperLarden It's so depressing that they're just remaking these games without even preserving the original versions properly.
I wish they'd fix MCC. Reach still has busted lighting and missing shadows in every single one of its cutscenes. For 6 years its been broken.
Preservation matters
@spookysolhacker It's amazing how a different reading of the same lines can sightly change a character or a scenes feeling.
I think almost all of Kota's lines are different in the SD version compared to the HD.
I get different vibes from each version despite it being the same scene.
@spookysolhacker Hearing and seeing his drunkenness everytime you go to customise your lightsaber in the Rogue Shadow really hammers it home for me.
It crops up often enough so you don't forget. But never too much it becomes overbearing.
@spookysolhacker I feel that I prefer the darker and more lost place Kota goes to in the SD version, as it makes his triumphant moment later on Corellia more impactful.
We saw him at his absolute worst, lost in the bottle, and how Starkillers actions inspired him to be better by the end.
