Plan lessons? Organize a service? Lug boulders around the landscape? Or tweet? Think I'll tweet...

@SkipBensley Luv this tune - a senior in the church where I conduct has requested it be sung by the choir. What fun.

On spring break, a student created what he calls a "lead packet," i.e., lead sheets for each song in a musical he likes.

As a #pianist, when I play #guitar, I get a bad case of fingertip soreness. My Martin has steel strings. Anyone have any advice?

[Susan Capestro @WholeMusic]

@SkipBensley I probably have it too. Neck pain from too much computer. Feel better!

@NeutronGirl A cool thing to know about in electronic music is the "Doppler effect," like the change of pitch as a train rushes by.

Today my last student was playing the theme from Harry Potter so I cast a spell on him, "You will read and practice your entire assignment!"

[Susan Capestro @WholeMusic]

Was just playing En Bateau, from Petite Suite, by Debussy, w/one of my adult #piano students. I forgot how gorgeous this piece is!!!

[Susan Capestro @WholeMusic]

@vibratoria To encourage young students to attend "classical" concerts, how about starting with Beethoven's wig? http://t.co/ALj5OjhO

Back from a Tweeting hiatus...Today one of my young students spelled a C major scale as B# major & was excited to find it had 12 sharps!

5th grader, after his 1st piano lesson this fall quipped, "I haven't played "Clocks" in ages!" After a pause, we both cracked up laughing!

Students have returned to lessons; choirs have returned to rehearsals. Feels good to be back in the saddle!
