@cposkozim The passage of Title VII allowed women to be on equal footing regarding working as men which began the momentum for more improvements as well as fixing the problem with middle age black women.
@cposkozim Even though there was discrimination of race there was also a discrimination against women in general and the ages that they could work. They would fire women for being over a certain age when they could still do the same work perfectly fine.
@cposkozim Though women were stopped from doing things they wanted not all women were dissatisfied. We should see that though there may be a widespread problem that problem won't always affect everyone which the problem is supposed to affect.
@cposkozim Society automatically believed that if a woman was trying to do something that defied their norms were trying to be crusaders or activists, they didn't even think that they simply had a desire to do something that others thought they couldn't do.
@jigilicious1 What is more surprising is that fact that there was no mention of any politician at all that was trying to bring attention and change to the obviously immoral and inhumane events taking place.
@llopez553 @cposkozim Not only were they prevented from voting by being asked impossible questions, they were ridiculed, provoked, and disrespected in the mere process of registering to vote itself.
"But today the sun is shining and I'm about to stand in its warmth alongside a lot of freedom loving people who've worked hard to get us here...As long as there is light ahead for them it's worth it to me". What's important is creating a brighter future for others. #MESelma18
It is important to note that animosity wasn't only towards black people at the time but anyone regardless of color that supported their movements. Hate wasn't only towards a person's race but their beliefs as well. #MESelma18
Did the officers at the time have no sense of ethics, of morals, that they would ruthlessly injure and murder people? Where was humanity at this time? #MESelma18
When you fight for your rights you don't get everything all in one go. You need to take it and create the rights "piece by piece" and these pieces together create the whole movement. #MESelma18
#CivilRights is being able to stand up and fight for what you believe in a safe and non-violent manner, it is the ability to live a life freely without being oppressed by another. Not having these rights means allowing people to be killed unjustly like Emmett Till.
Because of #WWTwo, there was an influx of laborers to fill jobs created, these laborers also brought their families with them creating many overpopulated areas which led to unsanitary and filthy conditions, killing many.
Because of #WWTwo, America became one of the most industrial producers in the world. An increase in job openings and laborers to fill those jobs had been one of the main factors that caused this.
Many Americans had started to reshape their understanding of how the world should be governed and started to lean toward communism. They had believed that communism was the better option because everyone could get a job. Everyone would get money. #GDAPUSHME
