When this attack happened, I personally went to the DCP and asked him to arrest these goons. The DCP replied, “We can’t arrest people randomly.”

I told him, “The attack happened right in front of the police. How can you say you can’t arrest them?”

To which the DCP replied, “You are free to go to the courts”

Open Letter to Salman Khan Sir

Salman Khan sir, please stop Maatrubhumi release.

Something doesn’t seem right with the film. There seems to be a hesitation, an unsure element around it — and that is never a good sign.

Your superstardom is intact. We saw it recently with the way a simple “Sonam, it’s done bro” blew up everywhere. That is Salman Khan’s aura. People look up to you. Your fans simply adore you.

But those fans are desperately waiting for a film that JUSTIFIES that superstardom and aura. Unfortunately, a few of your recent films haven’t been able to do that.

I understand you’ve had an incredibly tough time — security threats, your own health concerns and Salim sir’s health as well. But you’ve done the seemingly impossible in the past, and you can do it again.

Your fans want the Salman Khan of Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar have shown how beautifully they can channel your superstardom, vulnerability and screen presence.

Your fans want you to concentrate on ACTING and being SALMAN KHAN — and allow the best people to take care of casting, music and the other creative aspects of the film.

Please take this constructively, sir. You know I have only love and affection for you, and I say this as someone who is also a huge fan.

The aura is intact. The superstardom is intact. Now we need THE FILM.

🚨 Here is REAL STORY of what happened at the PARTY of #KailashSurendraNath in 1998... when #SalmanKhan punched Subhash Ghai 🚨

#SubhashGhai has SPOKEN half-truths against @BeingSalmanKhan in a recent interview... And what he's said will be perpetuated in history because Salman and his team will not bother to counter it.

But I am COUNTERING it point-by-point.

1) Both Salman and Ghai were down few pegs. Subhash Ghai didn't mention the fact that he too was drunk.

2) Ghai was shooting #Taal that time with #AishwaryaRai who was dating Salman. Aishwarya had complained to Salman about Ghai.

3) The argument happened when Salman told Ghai not to bother Aishwarya. And soon it died down.

4) The showdown happened when Ghai followed Salman to the washroom and deliberately pissed on his shoes. An IRATE Salman punched Ghai as people came and pulled them apart.

5) #SalimKhan Saab indeed scolded Salman and told him to apologise to Ghai. The matter ended there.

6) And, it was Ghai who wanted to work with Salman after his much-ambitious #Kisna had flopped badly... While Salman was riding high after #TereNaam, #MujhseShaadiKarogi, #NoEntry & #MainePyaarKyunKiya. Ghai started sending feelers to work with him as he was going through a tough phase.

Everything I have said can be CONFIRMED from various articles of THAT time (1998) & interviews of people who were present there that night.

My HONEST & UNFILTERED note to Salman Khan sir and his team.

I can understand that #SalmanKhan is indifferent towards his legacy, box-office prowess and cultural impact but his team SHOULD NOT be this lazy.

No one has seen such a sustained & frenzied fan-follwing in the remotest corners of India. And that is visible both in MAJOR box-office records & humungous ground-level popularity.

What has his team done to MAGNIFY & HIGHLIGHT the fact that he was the biggest star of the 1990s?

What has his team done to Chronicle his achievements, both professional & personal?

Even the UNPRECEDENTED 2010-2019 phase isn't being properly projected. When the POPULAR refrain in trade was - "Even the poster of @BeingSalmanKhan is enough to make a film BLOCKBUSTER."

Salman sir perhaps don't want to engage with pesky editors and don't want to intellectualize his ICONIC work & stardom...

But why is the so team so LETHARGIC in countering even basic MISINFORMATION about him which have persisted for DECADES now.... and all these MISINFORMATION can easily be dispelled with BASIC FACT-CHECK and then circulating it through media & social media.

The life & times of Salman Khan must be properly CHRONICLED & PRESENTED for the future generations... so many unique facets of his character & career must be HAMMERED HOME so that his legacy can survive the sands of times.

#Toxic: DISAPPOINTING.
Rating: ⭐️⭐
Yash is ROCKING in #ToxicTheMovie – he's the heartbeat, the lifeline... Ferocious action, engaging in parts... BUT #Toxic is body beautiful minus soul... Falls flat in the second half... #Yash certainly deserved a better script! #ToxicReview

#Toxic is NOT conventional cinema – you realise that right at the outset... Director #GeetuMohandas introduces you to a world and its characters that appear unusual, unpredictable, and intriguing.

The first half has several highpoints that stay with you – the first 20-odd minutes and, especially, the interval point are standout moments.

Drama, glamour, conflict, and action – #Toxic has it all, and in abundance… The emotional quotient forms the foundation of the first half, but is unfortunately underdeveloped post-interval.

The second half takes the film's graph downhill… The story stagnates, the writing lacks meat, and what you're served are action sequences… and more action sequences.

It's only when the father-son face-off comes into focus that the film begins to grab your attention all over again... The action that follows is spectacular and ferocious... However, the son's track, in particular, may evoke mixed reactions once the reality dawns upon the viewer.

#Yash returns to the big screen after the blockbuster success of #KGF2, and he is simply marvellous... Charisma, intensity, swagger, and screen presence – #Yash delivers a towering performance and commands every frame.

#KiaraAdvani is top notch, especially in the emotional moments... #Nayanthara excels, and her sibling bonding with #Yash – including the flashback portions – keeps you invested.

#TaraSutaria does well, but her screen time is limited... #RukminiVasanth is wasted – an actress of her calibre deserved far better... #HumaQureshi does very well, although her character had considerably more potential.

The background score is electrifying, while the action sequences are ferocious and visually striking... Among the songs, #Tabaahi stands out.

⭐ Final word? #Toxic is a classic case of style over substance... The film rides primarily on #Yash's immense star power, charisma, and popularity – factors that have also contributed to its FANTASTIC start at the boxoffice... The film will need to sustain momentum once the initial curiosity and fan frenzy settle down.
