In art, we have been experimenting with Brusho to create atmosphere. The final piece is influenced by our school’s grounds and will form the artwork for our 140th anniversary celebrations.
Yesterday, we travelled to St John’s church to learn key facts about the Bible. It was so rewarding to hear the children’s’ prior knowledge shining through. We loved writing our name in Hebrew. ✝️
For this term’s One Unselfish Act, we have been litter picking to commemorate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Although we initially thought our surroundings were litter free, it was surprising how much we actually found. 🌸🌲🌳🎋
What a start to World Book Day! After starting the day with Collective Worship, we were read to by a mystery reader. We have then created a spoon based our favourite book character.
Today, we have been working on our Northwich Educational Partnership artwork which will focus on empowerment. In our afternoon PHSE lesson, we empowered each other by discussing what we appreciate about our peers.
In PE, we have been competing in circuits as part of our gym topic. We have focused on all of our fundamental movement skills. The children have demonstrated healthy competition this morning. @WhitegatePe
In RE, we have started our unit about Jesus being a wonderful teacher. In the lesson, we discussed what makes a great teacher and how Jesus uses parables to teach. We navigated through our bibles to find these parables in the gospels. #RE
What an inspiration Jess Clarke was for our pupils! It was interesting to hear her journey about becoming a professional footballer. Furthermore, it was great to hear the importance of physical and mental health from a role model like her. @ActivKids
