How to keep from feeling discontent with your day: do something new for your iman every day, whether its reading a new surah of the Quran or learning a new hadith or a new dua…
We all have our ups & lows with our iman. When low we may make mistakes we would have never done when we were up. The “you” during your lows does not define who you really are & same with the “you” during your highs. What defines you is your commitment to STRIVE for Allah’s sake.
Allah has tailored a test for every single one of us and we are guaranteed that we can bare and overcome it. We can choose to give up and wither away or face and overcome our trials.
—“Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear” ~Quran 2:286

Some of the salaf used to say: “I didn’t struggle with myself about anything more than my struggle for sincerity”. Without sincerity, actions are meaningless.
