his morning as High Sheriff I visited the FUSE in Partington. It is a multi-purpose venue used for all kinds of activities and training. Great to meet my DL colleague Debra Green and hear her story.
My second engagement today was at Elizabeth Gaskell’s house. We were celebrating the great volunteers who bring the house alive with their tales of the Gaskell family and visitors. There are gardens, a great cafe and it is really worth a visit
My 3rd engagement today as High Sheriff of Greater Manchester at a blood donor session. By donating just one hour of your time you could help up to 3 people.

Lovely afternoon at BACP celebration community fun day with the Mayor and Mayoress and my fellow DL Louise Scott. Wonderful volunteers manning all the stalls and honoured to give a speech at the formal opening of the event. @gmlo@LScott28
My 70th engagement as High Sheriff of Greater Manchester took me to Blackpool (and thanks to the High Sheriff of Lancashire for permission to enter his county) for The George Formby Society convention. Great fun, great friends and a beautiful room at the Imperial Hotel.
First engagement as High Sheriff of Greater Manchester today was the volunteer awards for LEAP held at Portland Basin in Ashton under Lyne and hosted by my DL colleague Jo Parry-Gee. My Corrie fan followers may also recognise the location! Think Richard Hillman.
